I first came to Open Door in 1989 after migrating from Jamaica. I joined the leadership team in 2016. I am pleased to be a part of the team and strive to be a good role model for my brothers and sisters in Christ. I love Open Door because of the friendly atmosphere and the inclusiveness of worship. My Christian journey has been influenced by past leaders through their commitment to see others grow in their faith and serve God wholeheartedly. I have been involved in children’s work and my desire is to share the good news of Jesus.

Church Treasurer

I have been attending Open Door for over 25 years. In addition to church activities I design sweet making machines and enjoy walking holidays.

Todd

Julie has explained our church and family life. I am close to retiring now but have been a Painter and Decorator all my working life. For the last few years I cut my work days to three so that I could help with the church ministry of the Community Fridge. I enjoy watching football (I have been a Man City supporter for the last 56 years! And of course Posh!) I love watching live music and going away in our campervan.

Church Secretary

I am church secretary and part of the worship team at church. My husband Tod and I have been part of Open door church since 1996. We were searching for God and two lovely ladies from church came knocking on our door. We went to church and found a peace that we hadn’t realised existed, a church family who were so warm and welcoming – and we stayed! People invested so much in us as we became Christian’s that in 2021 we offered our time in the leadership roles we currently hold. Todd and I have been happily married for 42 years and have been blessed with two lovely children and now four beautiful grandchildren. I also work as a Teaching Assistant at a local primary school.
