We are blessed with a gifted team of leaders at Open Door!
I am happily married to Carol and we have three adult sons. We spent many years living and working in West Africa before our return to the UK in 2006. I love living and working in Peterborough and feel privileged to serve Jesus in forming a vibrant multi-ethnic community in the heart of the city. I love watching cricket, playing badminton and reading.
I first came to Open Door in 1989 after migrating from Jamaica. I joined the leadership team in 2016. I am pleased to be a part of the team and strive to be a good role model for my brothers and sisters in Christ. I love Open Door because of the friendly atmosphere and the inclusiveness of worship. My Christian journey has been influenced by Ministers Giles and Carol through their commitment to see others grow in their faith and serve God wholeheartedly. I have been involved in children’s work and my desire is to share the good news of Jesus.
I’ve been coming to Open Door Baptist church for about four years with my now husband and two daughters 14 & 6 years old. My family are quite unique and do not find mixing with people easy but from the minute we walked into Open Door we felt a sense of peace, love and acceptance. We’ve always felt an unconditional love at the church which we’ve not found anywhere else. Open Door is like family to us. I currently work as a teaching assistant in a school for autistic children. I’m on the advisory council at my daughter’s academy. I was a governor at another special needs school which I’ve recently come off as I’m pregnant and expecting my third child.
I have been attending Open Door for over 25 years. In addition to church activities I design sweet making machines and enjoy walking holidays.
